I am very happy to get $57.26 this month, this time last year the small beginnings of my savings portfolio was comprised of BNS dividend mutual funds which only paid out 75cents that month, however the value of the account was only around $1000 if I recall correctly. This amount also beats its comparative previous quarter payout by almost $25 as well, which represents an awesome progression of dividend income!
Wisp,
ReplyDeleteLooks like a solid month right there. And great quarterly growth as well. Keep up the great work!
I remember when I was hitting $50 or so per month, and I tell you it grows fast. :)
Best wishes.
Thanks for sharing your recent dividend income update with us. From these small beginnings larger things will come. Keep at it and don't give up. I see you have a couple Canadian bank stocks that I am also considering. We'll see what the market does in the next week or two and I may initiate a position in a couple. Look forward to your next update.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by everyone!
ReplyDelete@Mantra Yeah, the $50 definitely feels good, in the absolute least now I know that in any given month due to my monthly dividend payers I can at least buy 1-2 ETF shares if I'm for whatever reason unable to contribute cash in the future. Which means I can slowly grow my income even just a few pennies at at time is quite reassuring :) This month I used most of that 'free' passive income to help buy a little bit more of Toronto Dominion bank :)
@DivHut Im very happy to share, and hopefully inspire some in the months to come. I certaintly don't want to give up on posting. In the absolutely least I'm determined to post Dividend/Portfolio/Income&Expense updates. From those easy and regular posts I'd like to expand more on the Excel tutorials and perhaps some more topical news posts(don't feel im quite good enough at writing yet to really call them articles by any means.) Its also about finding the time to write them.
I'm always quite happy to do research and reading on finances and topics, so perhaps i'll at some point I may do a more in-depth 'watchlist post' where I will whip out my 'old' investment finance textbook from my University course and do a proper analysis on a company or two.
Thanks again for viewing and posting. I do very much enjoy the feedback :)
