From the previous comparable month in October I received $7.33 more due to gains in foreign exchanged based off of Algonquin Power's U.S Dollar dividend. And from January 2016, this months is $23.36 higher with the difference in foreign exchange and dividend increases. That difference would have been higher however it was negatively affected by a few changes in my portfolio including a decreased position in Veresen and also Dream Office REIT had cut its distribution heavily.
The next time these companies take their turn at paying out dividends, I should be receiving more as TD, BNS, and BCE all raised their dividends since January. Hurray for dividend growth!
Very nice outcome for the month of January. Well done to you.

DeleteSolid income to start the year. Always happy to see the large Canadian banks doing their part for a passive income portfolio. Thanks for sharing.
